Marlton, New Jersey, resident Gary Begnaud graduated with a finance degree from the University of Delaware. At college, he was elected to the FMA Honor Society and was active in the ATO fraternity. After graduation, Gary Begnaud embarked on his finance career path.
He began at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor specializing in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, CDs, and tax-free bonds. He briefly moved to Kidder Peabody in San Diego, where he focused on retirement planning and helping clients relocate. Mr. Begnaud later returned to Merrill Lynch to help retirees transition their 401(k)s into IRA rollovers. He also took leadership roles, managing multiple Merrill Lynch branches across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
In 2006, Gary Begnaud shifted from management to focus on investment management, estate planning, and retirement income strategies. He spent the next 13 years as a senior vice president at Merrill Lynch, helping clients with retirement planning, wealth management, and smart investment choices.
After four decades, Mr. Begnaud left Merrill Lynch for Janney Montgomery Scott, where he now works as a financial advisor. He made this move after looking at many investment firms and finding that Janney's focus on clients matched his approach to business. Here, he works with clients with over $1 million to invest. With his daughter and business partner Amy Begnaud, he heads the Begnaud Wealth Management Group, which has earned spots in Janney's Elite Advisors and the Philadelphia Five Star Wealth Managers as well las Forbes Best in State.
